Hello, I'm Shane!
As a dedicated English Teacher & Mindfulness Educator my mission is to bridge academic excellence with emotional well-being.
Originally from New York, I hold a BS in Science from the University of Montana. My professional journey combines several years of classroom teaching with over a decade of business development and Vipassana meditation practice.
I currently teach 5th-grade English and Social Studies at Montfort College Primary's English Program (EP).
Beyond the classroom I offer personalized private tutoring designed to align with Chiang Mai’s English program standards. These sessions pair targeted skill-building (reading, writing, grammar, and speaking) with age-appropriate mindfulness techniques.
The goal: to equip upper primary students with both the academic strength and the resilience needed to navigate exam stress and develop balanced learning habits.

I offer personalized one-on-one and small-group English sessions for motivated primary students (roughly Grades 5–6 level) currently enrolled in English programs in Chiang Mai.
Sessions combine targeted English skill-building (reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, grammar, speaking ) with practical mindfulness practices.
The result: stronger academics + tools for better concentration, reduced exam stress, emotional balance, and resilient learning habits.

English Program support: Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing structure, speaking confidence—aligned with current Montfort units and assessments
Mindfulness integration: Age-appropriate Buddhist-inspired tools (breath awareness for concentration, metta for kindness/self-compassion, reflection on impermanence to ease perfectionism/anxiety, simple vipassana-style observation)
Holistic outcomes: Improved study habits, calmer test/exam prep, greater emotional regulation

Single session: 1,000–1,400 THB (60–90 minutes, depending on focus and duration—e.g., lighter review vs. deep exam prep + mindfulness)
Introductory trial session: 800–900 THB (60–90 minutes, discounted to let families experience the full blend)
5-session package: 4,800–6,500 THB (effective ~960–1,300/hour; save ~10–15%)
10-session package: 9,000–12,500 THB (effective ~900–1,250/hour; save ~15–20%)
All sessions in-person (Chiang Mai area) or online via Zoom. Packages paid upfront for commitment and best progress. Flexible scheduling around school hours/weekends.
